About Joys and Trials

"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me." ~Micah 7:8 (KJV)

Summer update

We've made it to July. Our laptop is shot, thinking it's the power cord. Sanatra is now 5, and starts kindergarten this year.
Elanor Mae was born June 27th, at 9 pounds and 20 inches.
She was my easiest delivery by far. There was concern about me hemorrhaging, since I had with both Ayla and Tyler, thankfully that didn't happen this time.
Ayla's excited, but still not thrilled about having to keep her bedroom floor clean, since she'll eventually be sharing a room with Elanor. Tyler's dealing with jealousy a little, but doing pretty well with her. Pets her head and gives her kisses.
They both just have to look before they try combing on me. Some days it's trying to balance attention and cuddles between the youngest two, especially at nap time.
Sometimes, that's easier said than done.
Ayla's getting to go camping this year with Nanna, since I'm not quite up for a week of it just yet. It'll be her first time without Sean and I along. We're keeping Tyler and Elanor with us, and will go down for a day visit.
Things with the house have been a roller coaster. Had to get a new capacitor in the AC, and we have to plan to dig up most of the back yard to replace some of the sewer line. The joys of owning your own home.
That's about all for now. Taking it a day at a time and trying to not stress too much..... Not an easy task for me, being the worry wort that I am.

Spring has sprung

So after the last post, I worked 3 weeks at a daycare, then went back to the factory as a custodian, for about 3 and a half weeks. Jessa's health has gotten worse with Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis. Her insurance has approved her medication, but she's back in the hospital again and cannot start the meds until they can figure out why she's in so much pain that's not being managed by the pain meds they gave her. Her inflammation levels have jumped and they're trying to find the source. Hopefully, it's found soon, as we all want her back home and able to take her medication to get back on the right track.
We bought our first house this year, and have been in since April 12. It's a good starter home and enough storage space that we can fit all the kids and their toys. We're having another girl in June. Ayla's excited about sharing a room eventually with Elanor, but she doesn't quite understand what all the really entails yet.
Ayla wants to plant flowers this year, but I told her to wait a year while we see what plants we have already, which I'm glad we did. While the bush by the front step is in major need of some TLC, it's putting out some gorgeous blossoms.

I'm going to do my best to save the bush, even though I don't care for bouquets of roses, I find the bushes to be alright.
Theo is sitting up, now we're just waiting for him to crawl. Tyler's vocabulary is slowly growing, although he has a tendency to slur the words together saying them so fast....It took us a while to figure out that he does say "Thank you" and "There you go" because of that fact.
Ayla has less than a month of school left, and Sanatra starts school this fall.
Our kids are all growing way too fast.

Ayla and Tyler

Can't wait to add Miss Elanor to our bunch this summer. She'll probably be the last Grandchild for a while, and definitely our last child.
That's it for now.

New year, rough start.

I haven't posted anything in what is now more than a year. I had decided to limit my time on the computer, as I'm easily distracted by what else is out there on the internet, and wanted to spend more time with my kids. Whereas, last year was a slow start, this year's been more of a rough start. I worked at Six Flags last year till the end of June, then started with a temp agency at the same factory as Sean in the beginning of July. January 3rd of this year, and all the temps were laid off as work had slowed that much. So here I am, enjoying the time I get to spend with my kids, but unfortunately, we need for me to be working with all the bills we have to pay.
Jessa gave birth to her second son, Theo, at the end of September, so now Ayla's kind of out numbered by the boys among the grand-kids.
Ayla will be 7 years old next week. Tyler is now 15 months old, and is in to everything, enjoying the word "hot". Come the end of June, we'll be welcoming another child, and our last. We find out February 21 which gender the newest member of our household will be.
So everyday, I'm looking for and applying to jobs, even though it's only 5 and half months before I have to take a month and half, at least, off from whichever job I may be employed at at the time.
We're moving again this year. We're hoping to buy our first house, but not going to settle. If anything, when our lease is up, we'll find another place to rent, until we find the right house.
Day to day life is pretty much the same, but that's okay.
I may try to update a little more this year, but no promises. I'm going to enjoy cuddling on the couch with my kids for as long as I can.
